e-Drums Lab : NEW JAZZ STUDIES.
Start playing the drums in May 2020 after spending about 6 months re-programming the drums modules to meet the right body feeling, adequate sounds to my ears and music styles.
The idea of these new jazz studies is to document myself of the progress made as an experience in PsychoMeta : Record a new track without listening to it before, improvise as an e-drums beginner while recording only one take, experiment a new aspect each time. Then, analyze the video and let the unconscious deal with it. Do not learn or work anything consciously. Playing 30 minutes each time max.

eDrumLab / eCymbals
eCymbals acoustic noises. Recorded 2 meters afar from the set. Balance between electronic and acoustic sounds.
The Arborea cymbals have been modified with piezzos to trigger the drum module. It works perfectly.
Noise measured between 60 to 82 Ddb, compared to rubber cymbal 60 to 77 db at 1 meter.
5 db noisier.

Just finished to program a jazz brush kit.
I have put it to a test recording with Kenny Baron - Dave Holland duo song "Segment". It was quite exciting since I never learned how to play the drums.
It's great to free your mind and go along, wherever it leads you!

Le Duo Des Nonnes
At age 16, we started a guitar duo with my friend Dominique Schneeberger. I could recover this piece called "Harold" from an old tape. This is a recording of the very first guitar duo piece we created at the time.
Dominique was classical guitar trained, I was the autodidact ignorant. We both enjoyed very much our work together, we created some very nice pieces which I unfortunately don't have any recording.

A combination of Roland TD+30, TD-20, TD-17 and ATV drum modules provides an infinity of phenomenal sounding acoustic drum kits right of the bat.
All modules have been completely reprogrammed, providing, whatever the style, an incredible feeling and drums playability.

Guitar Lab at Magic Studio
Gianni Cassone playing "Hymne à l'amour" on a Line 6 modeling guitar, modified with a roland GK-3. Everything goes through a Roland VG-99 synth guitar processor and a macbook pro for pre-processing.
Most guitars in the studio are geared to go through the Roland VG-99 setup thus giving an infinite combination of sounds. Furthermore, a Standard Stratocaster style Line 6 guitar and xPod Pro setup is available for more rock-fusion sounds.
